It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our new website! We are delighted that you have visited us and we hope that you find it informational. The brightness and warmth that you will see on the pages of this site truly capture not only the atmosphere fostered within the organization, but also the approach that we take in serving our community. At Community Health Services (CHS), when you enter our doors, you become a part of our family. We are deeply appreciative to each person and family that has allowed our family to care for them.

CHS is deeply rooted in Hartford’s North End community where we have been located for the over 35 years. Our long-standing commitment draws its strength from our mission to provide quality healthcare to the medically underserved and the uninsured. Our comprehensive array of services is unique in Connecticut and provides patients “one-stop” shopping for all their health care needs.

With the increase of the already overwhelming need in our community, we at CHS are grateful to our many community partners and our corporate and foundation sponsors for the strong support that we have received. With the support of our partners, we have just completed the renovations of the third floor of its building - and what a marvelous achievement! We now have a brand new, state-of-the-art clinical space for our Women's Health and Pediatrics departments and a brand new Adolescent Medicine program.

We are approaching this phase of our development with a fresh outlook and high expectations for even greater levels of success in our collaborative and development efforts and ultimately, the fulfillment of our mission.

There is a lot more information to share with you. We are available to answer your questions and to arrange for individuals and groups to tour the health center. If you have not yet done so, please come visit us and be a part of the new CHS. We welcome your interest and involvement as visitors, volunteers and contributors in helping us accomplish our mission.
