What We Offer
CHS offers primary and preventive services in Adult Internal Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, Behavioral Health, Dental Care, Optometry, Pediatrics, Podiatry, and Women’s Health. The health center also offers specialty services such as its Diabetes Collaborative, a national program which takes a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, and social services such as its Food Pantry which provides food to over eighty families each week, in addition to an on-site pharmacy and laboratory. As part of its program of community outreach, CHS participates in a number of community events each year including health fairs and provides transportation service to and from appointments for patients.
CHS also partners with other agencies and programs whose missions complement the health center’s services, such the Center for Children’s Advocacy’s Medical-Legal Partnership Project (MLPP), which represents children and their families in health-related legal matters such as disability rights and benefits, public benefits and entitlements, Medicaid advocacy and immigration. Offering a full range of services for the entire family, CHS is able to provide the convenience of addressing a variety of healthcare concerns in one visit. This is of special benefit to individuals and families who may not be able to take multiple days away from work to seek care. Combine this convenience with to the fact that all services are provided regardless of a person’s ability to pay, and you have a recipe for good individual health, which translates to healthy families and communities.
