Billing FAQ

Did you get a bill from CHS and are you confused? Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions about billing. If this does not fully answer your question or if you are still confused, don't hesitate to contact us! We would be happy to help and look forward to your questions!

01

What is a deductible?

The amount you are responsible for paying before an insurance company will make payment. Please contact your insurance company if you are unsure of your deductible amount.

02

Why did I get a bill?

Every insurance company is different and has different coverages. Depending on your plan and benefits, when you use services at CHS, we contact your insurance company. Once we receive information from your insurance company, we will bill you for any remaining balance the company does not cover.

03

What if I cannot pay my bill?

If you cannot pay your bill in full, do not worry! We see every patient regardless of their ability to pay!  We also offer affordable interest free monthly payment plans and we are more than willing to work with you to see what your best options are.

04

What is a co-pay?

A copay is a flat fee that you pay every time you use a service: like going to the doctor, getting prescriptions at the pharmacy or going to the emergency room. This fee can vary and depends on your insurance plan. Sometimes you might have a higher co-pay than you are used to if you use services that are out-of-network. It is always a good idea to check with your insurance company if services you want are in-network or out-of-network.
