Abdul Sheikh, MD


Dr. Abdul M. Sheikh emigrated to CT from Pakistan. He completed his medical education from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Pakistan. In CT, he joined UCONN primary care residency program and graduated in 2005. He worked as a hospitalist physician in various hospitals in Connecticut and Maryland before starting his infectious disease fellowship at LSU, Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from the fellowship program in 2012. He returned to CT after his fellowship and joined St. Mary’s hospital in Waterbury, CT. Where he continued to work as an infectious disease physician and hospitalist before joining CHS. Dr. Sheikh areas of interest are HIV, Hepatitis B and C and management of chronic non healing wounds.
