Community Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic, and organized Human Resources Generalist to support the execution of the organization’s strategic HR initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will have HR generalist experience to support and advance department initiatives in talent acquisition and on-boarding, employee relations, employee training, succession planning, compensation, health and welfare benefits, and leave management.

  • Coach clinical group leadership on people strategy including hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition and learning development

  • Empower managers to build amazing teams

  • Develop and execute employee relations efforts. This includes planning and coaching executives and managers on best practices.

  • Asses employee development needs and recommend solutions.

  • Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees, additionally oversees and manages complex employee-relations issues while coaching managers on management best practices.

  • Maintain awareness of the culture, plans and competition of the clinical units under the HR purview

  • Consult regularly with management and provide guidance when appropriate

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs, and solutions 

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team in order to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that address current problems and also to avoid future ones.

  • Assist in the measuring, validating, and testing of the effectiveness of metrics that are applied by the business to assess and drive productivity optimization.

  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary

  • Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity, retention and employee engagement in your assigned departments

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary

  • Interpret human resources policies to company management

We're EXCITED about you because..
  • You have 1-3 years of HR/People experience. 

  • You have 3-5 years of Talent Acquisition experience in a healthcare setting, preferably for an FQHC. 

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree and/or Human Resources certification, e.g. SHRM - CP, PHR, etc. 

  • You have experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture where the business is constantly evolving.

  • You possess a deep knowledge of employment law.

  • You have the ability to think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest long-term solutions.

  • You have excellent judgment and the ability to make sound decisions independently. 

  • You possess an exceptional ability to prioritize and manage time effectively - you naturally focus on the right things and can seamlessly move between projects & tasks, without losing sight of what's important to do.

  • You're an outstanding communicator with relationship-building skills. You know when to listen, as well as when to speak up. 

  • You have an owner mentality - you can't remember the last time you said: "that's not my problem".
