Community Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic, and organized Human Resources Business Partner to support the execution of the organization’s strategic HR initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience to support and advance department initiatives in talent acquisition and on-boarding, employee relations, employee training, succession planning, compensation, health and welfare benefits, and leave management.

  • Support business needs by providing practical counsel and advice regarding the resolution of complex employee and labor relations issues or other business sensitive matters

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs, including plan design, executing open enrollment, and ensuring ongoing compliance with benefit plan terms and relevant legal and regulatory guidance

  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives and execute best practices to improve employee satisfaction and reduce employee turnover

  • Develop, in conjunction with the CLHRO, effective human resources policies and procedures to promote employee engagement, support a culture of equity and fairness, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  • Contribute to continuous individual and organizational learning by designing, coordinating and delivering, where appropriate, staff trainingand professional development

  • Proactively ensure appropriate staffing levels by consulting with managers on their hiring needs and supporting the full talent acquisition cycle, from recruitment to onboarding

  • Manage the integration of new staff to the organization, by developing, and continuously improving comprehensive onboarding programs that are consistent with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

  • Oversee the orderly offboarding of employees exiting the organization, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary

  • Assist with the administration of the compensation system, ensuring alignment with the organization compensation philosophy and compliance with regulatory standards

  • Meet organizational needs for human resources data by managing and maintaining the integrity of data in the HRIS and by developing, analyzing, and interpreting standard and special reports

  • Administer and continuously improve systems for managing leaves of absence programs, including under FMLA, ADA, and workers compensation, and under benefits plans, including short-term and long-term disability

  • Maintain deep knowledge of federal and state employment and labor-related laws, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and NLRA.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records by overseeing the creation, collection, and timely filing of all required personnel, credentialing, medical, and benefits documentation

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to ensure timely communication around shared accountabilities

  • Lead by example in exhibiting a superior customer service orientation and an appropriate sense of urgency

  • Develop and maintain high-functioning systems for ensuring clinical staff obtain and maintain appropriate clinical credentials, including education, licensure, certifications, and evidence of supervision, and maintaining detailed, documentation reflecting the same consistent with organization policy and regulatory requirements

  • Develop and sustain positive and productive relationships with community, government, and business leaders to advance organizational objectives

  • Maintain a positive image of the health center in the community by representing the organization on boards, commissions, councils, workgroups, and committees as well as at government and community events as requested

  • Perform all duties in accordance with CHS Core Values, Compliance Program, and other policies and procedures

  • Participate in quality and process improvement efforts in the department and the organization as requested or as directed

  • Complete training and professional development requirements in a timely manner

  • Ensure timely communication to finance of matters impacting payroll

We're EXCITED about you because..
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Three (3) years of experience providing generalist human resources services

  • Previous experience championing human resources projects in support of department goals

  • Experience with HRIS systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience in a healthcare setting onboarding clinical staff, including verifying licensure and other credentials
