Ignacia Velasquez Schepeler, DDS

Dr. Ignacia Velasquez S. earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad del Desarrollo, where she also completed a one-year fellowship in Endodontics with advanced clinical training in root canal therapy and management of dental pain.

After her work in Chile, Dr. Velasquez continued her postgraduate education in the United States and completed a two-year residency in General Dentistry at UConn Health. Her training included comprehensive care with a focus on medically complex patients, digital dentistry, restorative procedures, management of dental emergencies, and interdisciplinary treatment planning.

Dr. Velasquez currently serves as a faculty member in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UConn Health, where she supervises residents in clinical care and contributes to teaching in multiple areas of general dentistry.

With over five years of experience in private practice, Dr. Velasquez is committed to delivering patient-centered, high-quality dental care. She values building strong relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their treatment. She is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate clearly with a diverse patient population.
