
Temporary, Part Time Vaccination Clinic Medical Assistant/Receptionist
Department: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic
We are seeking part time, temporary candidates for the medical assistant/receptionist role to support our vaccination clinic operations by assisting with patient flow, coordinating the scheduling of walk-ins and same-day appointments, and responding to changes in clinic staff availability:
The successful candidate will:

Measures patient vital signs and enter into the electronic health record alert provider when values are out of normal range(s)

Educates patients about COVID-19 vaccination

Validates patient ID and health history tracking for each vaccine dose

Maintains clinical standards and all infectious disease practices according to protocols

Follows current guidelines, regulations, requirements and best practices on COVID-19 vaccinations and mitigation practices

Communicates with clinic staff regarding changes in schedules, cancellations, and delays

Calls to confirm appointments

Gathers pertinent external documents to support patient visit

Prepares exam rooms/MA area with supplies, cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe environment

Review consent and questionnaire with patients, enter information into the electronic health record

Other duties as assigned
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent standing, walking, and bending. Requires lifting of up to 15 pounds. Visual acuity sufficient to perform frequent work on a computer screen and review printed reports and other materials. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Requires the ability to hear and to communicate orally with others.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: This job operates in a professional office environment. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions in a health center environment.
